Today is the International Day of Happiness!!! A day to smile, a day to be happy. Yet, another ‘world institutionalized event‘.
I am not going to dwell on the reasons the world needs such a Day, nor I am advocating a day of joyful and happy faces. 🙂 I will not tell you either how to feel today.
Therefore, I will let the UN tell you all about the significance of March 20th, the International Day of Happiness.

Did you know that behind every hairstyle there’s a story? I, as a woman wasn’t fully aware of that. At first, I wanted to write a piece about pressure that sociocultural and religious groups put on women to conform to certain looks such as ways to dress and to style their hair.
On the last day of Black History Month I think it is appropriate to reflect on recent past events featuring black struggles in the world, particularly in North-America. It is also the right time to bring forward diversity and inclusiveness.
Looking at everything that has recently happened I only have one thing to say. I am longing for the moment we won’t need a Black History Month anymore. (more…)
