This millennial health professional discusses motherhood
“Being a mother in 2017 is very different from being a mother in the 80’s. Most mothers these days work full-time or are full-time students. So, it’s hard to manage, but we are always trying to make it happen.“, says Belise Nda

1 – What does ‘being a mom’ mean to you?
Motherhood means everything to me. My kids are my life. Everything I do is for them to have a happy childhood.
2 – Do you think motherhood is outdated or should be reinvented?
Being a mother in 2017 is very different from being a mother in the 80’s. Most mothers these days work full-time or are full-time students. So, it’s hard to manage, but we are always trying to make it happen.
3 – Does your mom inspire you to have a family of your own some day?
When I was little, I was so envious about my mom. I wanted to be just like my mom when I grow up. I loved how she carried herself, how she handled any situation, good or bad. She inspired me to be a good person and to always be there for my family. She went through so much but she kept her head high and I admire that about her.
4 – As a parent, what would you change from the way your mom is dealing/ has dealt with motherhood?
I would never change how my mom has dealt with motherhood. She is the best mom ever. Always listening, helping in any way she can. Once She told me: “you’re always a mom no matter how old your kids are! ” Now I am starting to understand why she said that.
5 – What price would you put on your mom’s love?
My mom’s love is priceless. She is the best mom ever. I don’t know what to say! There are so many good things about her!
