The Changing of the Guard at Parliament Hill is a must-see attraction. Have you ever wished to watch the guards parade, enjoy fun military music, and have a good time downtown Ottawa? Then the Changing of Guard ceremony is your calling this summer. The event offers a great lens into some the works of the Canadian Forces tasks right in the Nation’s Capital, all the while being entertaining and free.

Some important info

  • Event is held from June 26 to August 21, 2016 from 10:00 in the morning with a short introduction at 9:45 am.
  • Parade begins at the Cartier Square Drill Hall.
  • Arrive early on the Hill to find a good spot to capture the dance of the guards as they are doing their daily routine.
